Fleeting Images

Eloped to Las Vegas. Married the love of my life. Got serenaded by Elvis ("Take my hand, take my whole life too..."). Chased Rex down casino corridors. Drank margaritas and danced with Jimmy Buffett ("Don't do it, Jimmy!"). Fed the coin goblins. Put it all on red. Laughed 'til we cried. Ate pizza and chili cheese dogs with my wife.

Mike and Soph got married. Helping them celebrate was one of the greatest joys of my life. Mike's the little brother who grew into a man I look up to, and Soph's finally my sister in the most important way of all... IN LAW! 📸@kanchuwithacamera

A group of giraffes is called a tower. I learned that when we drove past this lot and my mum counted 16. Apparently they're hanging out under this tree with the bucks and the buffalo because the piapiac birds perched in the branches go crazy when they spot a lion. A rare example of a useful tweet. There were families of warthogs (2) trotting around too, so I had the "When I was a young warthog..." bit from 'Hakuna Matata' stuck in my head all day. The lions (3) kept their distance, and their pride. Other things I don't ever want to forget: big-eared elephants (4); mud baths (5); the grey crowned crane (6) of Ugandan flag fame 🇺🇬; hippos in the Nile (7); walking with rhinos at Ziwa (8); the permanent rainbow over the most powerful waterfall in the world (9).
